Geet's pov

Maan was standing there, and I was facing his back only. I was quiet so that he could ignore me and left from the party. No,no ,no it can't happen again. Again I can feel like I am falling for him and he was making fun of my stupid love.

As I was leaving the hall, I was dragged by someone to the other dark end of the hall. I know who is the one."Let go, Maan I said let go," I said furiously while trying to shove his hand away. Next, I felt him pinning me to the wall. "Miss me, princess!" he said, and then he slammed his lips on mine.

I wake up with a jerk and fall down on the floor. I shut the alarm off as I can feel my breathing going too fast. What a baseless dream that was . It's 5. a.m. and I have to be in orphanage by 7 as the event will start by 9 and I just had an embarrassing dream of my life. What does it mean? I am still into him? I still love that idiot? noooo noooo  I don't love him anymore. This stupid dream has nothing to do with how in past I felt for him. I left to prepare myself for today's foundation day.Hope everything goes fine without any fuss.

 

Atharv arrived in the orphanage holding a lot of toys and balloons. He asked me earlier on the phone that he would like to bring a lot of stuff for kids there, and I tried to deny him doing that. He is already doing a lot of chairwork for Foundation Day. I think Maan might have settled down with Shanaya till now. She was everything that would look good standing beside him with the stutus of the wife of Maan Singh Khurana—hot, sexy,  and fiesty—while I was nothing but dull, lacking confidence, and a sick puppy.

Atharv tells one of his bodyguards to take his photos with kids. I protested as it was against the law of orphanage, but he assured me he just wanted to keep it as a memory. Well, we left from there, as the celebration will start any minute. I was feeling a little anxiety. Don't know why, but I shake it off. God knows what's happening with me today; first Maans' whereabouts are pissing me off, then this dull feeling.

 

There were a lot performances that we enjoyed, then Atharv left, informing me that he has to be in some meeting. I thanked him for doing this charity for this foundation; he said I better thank him on my birthday, and with a wink, he left.

 

I was returning back to the hall when Mother Clarita called me (geet call her mother). I saw her talking to a man who is more than 6 feet and some inches, and he was wearing a black suit. His hands tugged inside pant's pocket, and his back was facing towards me. While moving towards them, I could feel the same uneasiness from morning again. Grrr,grrr not again, Geet, not now.

 

I stood beside that well-built man and now I was facing Mother Clarita."Remember, Geet, I was telling you about the biggest benefactor of  Our orphanage, who had fallen in love with your cupcakes, here meet "

Mother Clarita was telling me, and listening to her, I turned to have a look at that man. thuddd thudd, here he is after God damm 2 years, stood in his whole glory,I could see now his muscles ripping out of his shirt . Just seeing him,I felt my heartbeat raising but now I could feel my heart raging with fire. All his cruelty comes crashing down like a movie clip. "No, you are exaggerating; I am not that big." Maan cut her in between, and after seeing their little conversation, mother Clarita left us.

 

Now what? what he wants to show by landing himself in front of me after 2 years. I cursed the time I left my house today to reach here to face him now. "You are an awesome baker,"  he said, and why in the world his voice sounded so husky. No, no, no,no ,no Geet, you are not going there. 'Thanks for your help to this orphanage," I said with a least confidence and turned to leave, and then, like my stupid dream, he dragged me to a dark area when he found a silent corridor.

 

How come I had imagine this scenario already? Now I am becoming more scared as my dream broke when he slammed his lips on mine. No,no this won't happen. He slammed me to the wall and caged me. I tried to escape his arms, but he wouldn't leave me, and now he would be saying something and slammed his lips on mine.

 

"Let me see you. Hmm,hmm became more beautiful and independent," he said with adoration in his eyes. "Let go of me, maan." I said, having enough of his drama, "Lets go home, Geet!" He said, "Are you hearing yourself, Maan? You threw me out of your life 2 years ago, and now standing in front of me, you think you can take me with you?" I said. 

 

I saw his eyes casting down, and while breathing out, he let go of me. I left no chance to escape from his surroundings as I reached near the door, but Maans' next words made me halt on my step: "Mom ...Mom is ill, Geet. She wants to see you." 

See,  its been not more than 20 minutes, and here he has hurt me already. He is here not for me, not to bring me back to him but for his mom. Great ! "Geet mom had been admitted to the hospital. She is gone through some treatment observations and will be discharged today, and we both could leave for mansion together after 2 dayss.. " Oh mommy, I missed her. I won't let this devil obstruct my way to her, and not when she needs me. 

 

"meet you after 2 days at 11 a.m. Geet," Maan told me and moved forward with a nod. I left from there relief that the stupid kiss part was not true, and I am telling you guys I didn't feel disappointment for not feeling his lips on mine. simply stop Geet !!!!

 

After two days I was all set to reach the airport, and then I saw the message popped in my phone from Atharv that he will meet me on my birthday, and now he is leaving for his parents house.  I told him he can meet me in his mausi''s house as mommy's sister leaves in the same place with 30 km of distance from the mansion (Atharv is the son of Prena's sister). I saw his message with a lot of dancing emoji. I smiled at his reply and closed my phone.

I reached the mansion, and mommy was feeling so happy, she hugged me. I was relieved when I entered her room, and Maan was nowhere to be seen!  "Why you had left me, Geet, Maan was gone for 2 weeks. First I thought that you were gone with him, but after words I saw your note, I understood that you left us." 

 

She said with a sad tone, ,I hated doing that to her, but then I asked Soni, who stood beside her bed looking for medicine, "What happened to mommy?" Soni told me mommy has been suffering from hypertension for 2 years and has multiple strokes , but last time she had a major stroke.".

I looked down on my lap and tried to control my tears on hearing since 2 years, "Leave Geet. Tell me why you left us. Is it due to Maan? What he does to you?"" She asked me, and then I said, "Yes, mommy, I know I told you I wanted Maan as my husband in the past, but on that night I concluded I could not be with Maan at that time."

She saw me kneenly and then said, "Oh my baby, you should have told me you know I won't force you in anything." while hugging me in her arms. Oh, I have missed her warmth. "Ok, now you are here and Maan will be coming at night. Than we can talk about t that. sorry he will be coming, and I didn't inform you earlier," she told me, and I assured her Maan doesn't affect me anymore. 

 

After 1 hour, we were sitting in the living room. He was wearing a navy blue shirt tugged in a cream-colored  tight pant. He looked at me and winked at me. Grrrr I hated his guts. I gave him, "How dare you?" look. He kissed his mom's head, and then he came towards me. I moved to the other side of mommy. I don't know how he was planning to greet me. kiss on cheeks, hugging me ? sorry not comfortable, sir !

 

"My son, how your day went?He told her it was ok, then mommy asked how come he left the office early; maybe he used to come at late night."Well, mommy, I am on vacation now, no more work, and now I have a reason to stay here the whole day" he told us while giving me his devil smile.I want to leave from here.Mommy asked what the reasons were."When I have two pretty ladies in my house, then there is no use of me in the office",he said, and then I instantly spoke. "Mom, I was saying, Tomorrow I have a visitor, and you know him, Atharv". I saw her face looking me confusingly, then I saw Maan's angry face. I definitely felt content sitting there. "Why he will visit you? His aunt was ill all the while he didn't show up till now" he said angrily. 

 

"Well, mommy, he will be coming more frequently now " I told mommy, not breaking eye lock with Maan. 

I left from there and saw Soni and Garv talking. I eyed them naughtily as when they revealed that they have been dating since last year. I felt happy for them. Soni asked me about my love life, and now that I am here, Maan and I will continue that meaningless engagement. "There was nothing about us earlier, and now there is no chance because only I was in that relationship, and now when I gave up, there is nothing, and definitely I will be giving a chance to the most patient person," I said and left for the room.
